معرفی
James Browne is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy, Immunology & Sleep Medicine. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying respiratory and reproductive biology, particularly the regulation of CFTR gene expression in airway epithelial cells and transcriptional networks in the human epididymis. He investigates the role of transcription factors like KLF5, BRD8, and BACH1 in cellular processes such as wound repair, innate immunity, and oxidative stress response.
His work combines functional genomics, epigenetic analysis, and in vitro models to elucidate pathways critical for cystic fibrosis pathogenesis, male reproductive health, and immune responses. Recent studies include the development of CFTR mRNA delivery systems for therapeutic applications and the characterization of region-specific responses in the epididymis.
Browne’s publications span prestigious journals like the Journal of Cystic Fibrosis, Biochemical Journal, and Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology. His research bridges basic science and translational medicine, with implications for novel diagnostic tools and therapies targeting airway diseases and male fertility.
