James B. Gilbert is a Professor Emeritus and Distinguished University Professor of History at the University of Maryland, where he held leadership roles including Chair of the History Department and founder of the Center for Historical Studies. His research has explored topics such as World’s Fairs, masculinity, and science-religion intersections.
