Professor Jagjit S. Chadha is a distinguished academic and policy adviser serving as Professor of Economics at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Economics. He concurrently serves as Director of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) until December 2024, and holds advisory roles with the Bennett Institute of Public Policy and the Productivity Institute. His career spans academic appointments at the University of Kent and St Andrews, and professional roles including Chief Quantitative Economist at BNP Paribas and Specialist Adviser to the UK Treasury Committee.
