Dr. Christopher Tsoukis is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Keele Business School, Keele University. His research focuses on behavioral macroeconomics, social capital, fiscal policy, and growth theory. He has held academic positions at Queen Mary University of London, Leicester, Hull, and London Metropolitan Universities, as well as research roles at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) and the European Institute of the LSE. His work examines status-driven economic behavior, intertemporal decision-making, and the macroeconomic implications of social interactions.
His research interests include behavioral macroeconomic models incorporating social status, hyperbolic discounting, and institutional factors. He regularly publishes in top-tier journals and has extensive teaching experience across the economics curriculum, currently focusing on macroeconomics at various levels. His recent work addresses issues like the Greek debt crisis, fiscal multipliers, and the impact of austerity policies on economic stability.
