Jade P. Vergara is an Instructor at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where she teaches in the Pre-Specialty Community Health coursework. She holds an MSN from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (2013) and a BS from the University of Florida.
Her research focuses on geriatric care, health equity, and community-based interventions. Key projects include examining quality of life in older adults near a rock quarry in a historically Black community and expanding SDOH resources for aging populations. She has published on telehealth opportunities in geriatric care during the pandemic.
Clinically, she provides home-based primary care for adults and geriatric patients in assisted living, memory units, and independent living settings. She is an active member of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA) of Middle TN.
