Jacqueline Nickel

Jacqueline Nickel serves as Assistant Professor of Business Instruction and Ruch Executive in Residence in the Department of Economics and Business at Hope College, where she has taught since 2020. She brings nearly three decades of corporate experience in marketing and brand leadership from The Coca-Cola Company, Abbott Laboratories, and Amway.

Her professional trajectory includes:

• At Coca-Cola (1995-2004): Progressed from Associate Brand Manager for Coca-Cola Classic to directing U.S. package innovation and new product development
• At Abbott Laboratories (2004-2008): Managed 150-member integrated marketing department in Ohio, then served as Regional Director for $180M European nutrition business across 12 countries
• At Amway (2008-2019): Served as VP of Global Brand Management and Chief Marketing Officer for the Americas, leading marketing across 16 countries

Her expertise centers on Brand Management, Product Innovation, and Global Marketing strategy, reflected in her teaching of marketing management and leadership seminars. She actively supports the Hope Entrepreneurship Initiative and Center for Leadership through faculty coaching.

She demonstrates commitment to community education through former board service at the Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (2017-2020), where she led strategic planning to expand preschool access. Outside academia, she co-founded a martial arts business in 2020 and maintains an active lifestyle through international travel (25+ countries), pickleball, yoga, and hiking.
