Jackie Waterfield

Professor Jackie Waterfield is a Professor in Education and Head of the Division for Dietetics, Nutrition & Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry & Radiography at Queen Margaret University since 2017. She trained as a physiotherapist at Sheffield City Polytechnic, earned an MSc in Behavioural Biology at Surrey University, and completed an EdD examining continuing professional development of physiotherapists. She has held academic roles at Coventry University and Keele University, specializing in postgraduate education frameworks and research methods.

As an external examiner and validator for health programs at UK and international universities, she mediates complex program reviews. She holds Fellowships with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Higher Education Academy.
