JORGE BARROS VELAZQUEZ

Professor Jorge Barros Velazquez is affiliated with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where he works within the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Bromatology. He earned his PhD in 1992 with a thesis titled Study of malolactic fermentation in the genus Lactobacillus. Application of genetic technology, supervised by Dr. Tomás González Villa. His research focuses on Food Safety, Molecular Microbiology, and Bioprocessing, particularly related to Lactobacillus and food hygiene.
