CRISTINA ASUNCION FENTE SAMPAYO

Cristina Asuncion Fente Sampayo is a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences and the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Bromatology. Her research focuses on Nutrition and Bromatology, specifically within the LHICA-USC Food Hygiene, Inspection and Control research group and the Strategic Grouping in Sustainable Management and Production of Bioresources (BioReDes).

She earned her doctorate from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1994, completing a thesis titled Study of fungal contamination in Galician soft cheeses under the supervision of Dr. Alberto Cepeda Sáez.
