Iyiola Solanke is the Jacques Delors Professor of European Union Law at the University of Oxford and Fellow of Somerville College, concurrently serving as Visiting Professor in the European Legal Studies Department at the College of Europe. Her research examines discrimination mechanisms and institutional change within legal frameworks, focusing on EU and national contexts.
She specializes in critical analysis of anti-discrimination law and EU governance, employing interdisciplinary approaches to study organizational behavior and legal systems. Her work bridges theoretical jurisprudence with practical policy applications.
Professor Solanke has authored influential monographs exploring racial discrimination, stigma theory in law, and comprehensive EU legal systems. Her scholarship contributes to decolonial methodologies in legal education and research.
