معرفی
Ivica D. Manić is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Electronics, University of Niš, Serbia, in the Department of Microelectronics and Microsystems. He earned his PhD in 2006 from the same institution and was promoted to full professor in 2016. His academic background includes a Master’s and specialization in Materials for Electronics from Kanazawa University of Technology, Japan (1988–1991), and a BSc from the Faculty of Electronics in Niš (1985).
- PhD, Microelectronics and Microsystems, Faculty of Electronics in Niš (2006)
- Master of Science, Materials for Electronics, Kanazawa University of Technology, Japan (1991)
- BSc, Microelectronics, Faculty of Electronics in Niš (1985)
- Specialization, Materials for Electronics, Kanazawa University of Technology, Japan (1988–1989)
His research centers on the reliability of semiconductor devices, particularly focusing on degradation mechanisms in power VDMOSFETs under electrical and thermal stress. He investigates phenomena such as Negative Bias Temperature Instability (NBTI), bias temperature stress, radiation effects, and oxide reliability. His work combines experimental characterization with modeling of charge trapping, interface state generation, and recovery mechanisms in MOS devices.
The analysis of his recent publications reveals a strong focus on reliability physics of p-channel power transistors, particularly under DC and pulsed stress conditions. His work spans materials (like Hf-doped Ta2O5), device behavior, and long-term degradation modeling. The keywords across his articles consistently reflect themes in semiconductor reliability, device physics, and microelectronics engineering.
He has contributed to over 35 journal publications with impact factors. His scientific contributions are supported by active participation in national and international research projects.
- Participant in 6 domestic research projects funded by the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia
- Participant in 6 international projects with the Institute of Solid State Physics (Bulgaria) and the Institute of Microelectronics, Demokritos (Greece)
- Involved in 2 Erasmus+ capacity building projects in higher education
- Institutional Coordinator for Erasmus+ Mobility at the University of Niš since 2015
Prof. Manić plays a key role in international academic collaboration and student mobility programs, contributing significantly to the integration of the University of Niš into European educational networks through Erasmus+ initiatives.
