Dr. Ivana Unukić is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Osijek. She holds a PhD in Management (2024) with a thesis on regional economic transformation in post-transition EU countries. Her teaching includes Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Regional Economy at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She actively uses English and advanced statistical software in her work. Unukić is a member of the Croatian Society of Economists and the Regional Studies Association.
Her research focuses on regional development, green economy, EU policies, and digital transformation, with 15+ publications. Notable achievements include the Dean's Award and Faculty Council Award for academic excellence. She serves as a specialist for educational quality assurance at the Faculty of Economics and presents at interdisciplinary conferences like IMR. Her work bridges theoretical concepts with practical policy analysis, emphasizing sustainable development and institutional frameworks.
Unukić's recent articles explore topics such as environmental taxes, foreign investment paradoxes, and regional policy networking. She advocates for learning from Central and Eastern European experiences in economic transformation. Her professional activities include collaborative projects on solar energy potential and SMEs' green transition in Croatia.
