Professor Nataša Drvenkar holds a prominent position at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics, where she teaches courses on Croatian and European economies, regional economics, and EU policies. She has served as Deputy Dean for Community Engagement and International Projects, and led the development of the Master's program in Applied Economics. Her expertise spans regional development, EU integration, industrial policy, and sustainable growth. She has advised the Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds and contributed to national strategies like the National Development Strategy until 2030.
Dr. Drvenkar has received multiple awards for academic excellence, including the Rector's Award (2004/2005) and the Croatian Woman of Influence Award (2019). She pioneered voluntary student internships across Slavonia, expanding to other university departments and collaborating with regional coordinators. Her research focuses on regional competitiveness, green economy, and EU policies, with publications addressing youth unemployment, carbon accounting, and post-transition economies. She actively participates in international conferences and organizations, including the Croatian Economic Society and Rotary International.
