Ana Štefanec, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance and Accounting, Faculty of Economics, University of Osijek. She holds a postgraduate specialist degree in Accounting, Auditing and Analysis (2018) and a PhD in Management (2022). Her academic work integrates teaching, research, and civil society engagement through multiple leadership roles.

Dr. Štefanec's research focuses on sustainable business practices, environmental accounting, and the creative industry, examining corporate sustainability transitions in Croatia and Europe. Her work addresses SME adoption of green practices, ESG metrics in energy sectors, and socially responsible creativity, often bridging academic research with community initiatives through volunteer engagement.
Analysis of her publications reveals dominant trends in sustainability reporting standardization, bibliometric mapping of energy sector transitions, and creative industry economics. Her recent work increasingly analyzes European energy companies' ESG disclosures and low-carbon growth pathways while maintaining strong connections to Croatian creative sector development.
