Ivan Bedzhov

Dr. Ivan Bedzhov is a Research Professor at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine, leading the Bedzhov Lab focused on Embryonic Self-Organization. His research investigates early mammalian embryonic development, particularly the transition from blastocyst to egg cylinder during implantation. He is affiliated with the Cells in Motion Interfaculty Centre and the Collaborative Research Center 1348 'Dynamic Cellular Interfaces'. His work integrates mouse embryos and pluripotent stem cells to study self-organization mechanisms at tissue scale.

Bedzhov's research interests include embryonic development, stem cell biology, and molecular mechanisms governing pluripotency. He has contributed to advancements in 3D biomimetic platforms and tissue clearing techniques for imaging.
