Isabelle Duplessis is a Full Professor (Professeure titulaire) at the Faculty of Law, University of Montreal. She specializes in public international law, with a focus on women’s rights, international multilateral institutions, and international labour law. A member of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT), she contributes significantly to the International Labour Organization (ILO). Her academic career includes LL.D. (1998), LL.M. (1994), and LL.B. (1991) degrees from the University of Montreal. Dr. Duplessis has advised numerous graduate students on topics ranging from international criminal law to gender stereotypes in conflict zones, and she has led/co-led major research projects on global labor dynamics and institutional experimentation. Her 2012 Francis Blanchard Prize recognizes her work on ILO norms. She is actively involved in CRIMT, exploring globalization’s impact on labor and work conditions through interdisciplinary research.
