Isabella Gegoff

Isabella Gegoff is a Part-Time Lecturer at The University of Western Australia (UWA), specializing in Human Factors and Automation research. Her work focuses on designing transparent automation systems to enhance safety and efficiency in complex environments like Defence and Air Traffic Control. She holds a PhD in Psychology from UWA (2021–2025) and advanced degrees in Industrial and Organisational Psychology (2021–2025) and Psychology (2017–2019).

Publications & Grants: Her recent articles explore automation reliability in air traffic control and transparent decision aids. She secured a $15,000 Defence Science Centre grant (2022) for her PhD research. Her work has been showcased at the Defence Human Sciences Symposium and the UWA Data Institute Conference.

Future Work: She continues to advance automation design principles for Defence and safety-critical industries, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and innovation.
