Isabel Lança

Isabel Lança is a full professor at the Faculty of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies (FCAATI) of Universidade Lusófona, where she served as director from 2011 to 2023. She is vice-rector for Internationalization at Lusófona University and a researcher at CICANT - Center for Research in Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies.

Her research focuses on sociology of communication, theories of public space and publics, event theory, networked activism, and media's role in social movements. Recent work examines climate activism, visibility regimes, and digital mobilizations.
