Her research bridges theoretical sociology, cultural analysis, and global studies. The forthcoming article in Sociological Theory develops a hermeneutic model for cultural globalization, while previous work on football in Ecuador examines how local communities reinterpret global sporting norms. Publications also include analyses of Martin Luther King's transnational memory and ethical dimensions in Latin American literature.
Isabel's work demonstrates methodological diversity through ethnographic case studies, comparative analyses, and theoretical synthesis. Her projects span three continents, examining debt perceptions in United States, Brazil and Kenya contexts.
