Isabel Bramsen is an Associate Professor and Subject Head of Peace and Conflict Studies at Lund University's Department of Political Science. Her research focuses on micro-dynamics of peace and conflict, including violence, nonviolence, conflict transformation, and peace talks. She has published extensively on topics like Nordic cooperation in conflict resolution, emotions in conflict, and the Syrian and Bahraini uprisings. Bramsen co-authored International Konfliktløsning (2016) and co-edited Addressing International Conflict (2019). She holds leadership roles in Nordic Women Mediators and has been awarded the Emerging Scholar Award (2024) and Hesbjerg Fredspris (2023). Her work bridges theory and practice, influencing policy through Nordic peace research translation. Current projects include the PUSHPEACE initiative exploring agonistic peace concepts.
