Iris Zachary

Iris Zachary is an Associate Research Professor at the University of Missouri, affiliated with the College of Health Sciences and the Department of Public Health. As Director of the Missouri Cancer Registry and Research Center (MCR), she has led efforts to establish MCR as an NCI SEER Research Registry, ensuring reliable cancer data for research and prevention programs.

Her research focuses on cancer informatics, public health informatics, and chronic disease data analysis. Dr. Zachary teaches graduate courses in health informatics and data analytics. Her leadership extends to grants like the CDC National Program of Cancer Registries and international collaborations with the University of Western Cape. Awards include the 2023 APHA Exemplary Leadership Award and 2023 Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA).
