Iris Bohnet is the Albert Pratt Professor of Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School and co-director of the Women and Public Policy Program. As a behavioral economist, she integrates insights from economics and psychology, often with a gender or cross-cultural lens, to improve organizational and societal decision-making. Her work emphasizes behavioral design to reduce bias in daily life, education, and workplaces, notably in her award-winning book What Works: Gender Equality by Design. She advises global governments and businesses, was appointed to the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council (2021), and recognized as a leading academic in US government influence and gender policy. At Harvard, she served as Academic Dean for six years and as Faculty Chair for the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders program for over a decade.
