Inga Rademacher is a Lecturer in International Political Economy at the Department of International Politics, City St George's, University of London, joining in January 2023. Her academic career includes a DAAD Fellowship at King's College, London (2018–2023) and a lectureship at Goldsmiths, University of London (2017–2018). She earned a PhD in Political Science from the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies and the University of Osnabrück (2013–2017).

Inga’s research focuses on the varieties of neoliberalism, analyzing how power struggles between central banks and governments shaped fiscal, monetary, and financial reforms in the 1980s. Her work employs institutionalist theories and process tracing to examine advanced market economies, emphasizing the role of "micro-strategies" and domestic institutional power distributions in Germany, the UK, the US, and Japan.
Her publications highlight neoliberal governance trends, including austerity in Germany and Japan, financial deregulation in the UK and US, and the influence of central bank autonomy. She is currently finalizing a book manuscript titled "Central Banks, Power, and the Varieties of Neoliberalism."

Inga is part of the Leverhulme Research Grant-funded project "Political Economy of Growth Models in an Age of Stagnation," led by Prof. Engelbert Stockhammer. This project investigates fiscal-monetary relations within and outside the EMU and their impact on post-Global Financial Crisis economic outcomes.
