Fabian Pape is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, affiliated with the School of Social and Political Science. His research focuses on Finance and Economic Sociology, particularly in the areas of Central Banking, Sovereign Debt Markets, and the Political Economy of Global Finance. He previously served as a Fellow in International Political Economy at the London School of Economics and earned his PhD at the University of Warwick.
Research Interests: Pape analyzes the US Treasury market as a source of global financial power, a site of monetary-fiscal policy interactions, and a locus of systemic instability. His work bridges Finance, International Political Economy, and Critical Macro-Finance, often examining the roles of East Asian economies in reshaping global financial structures.
