Dr. Indigo Davis is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Surrey and a registered Clinical Psychologist. She holds qualifications including a DClinPsy from the University of Surrey, an MSc in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London, and a BSc in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London. She is affiliated with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Practitioner Psychologist and is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.
Her research focuses on trauma, therapeutic relationships, recovery processes in psychological practice, clinical supervision, and social inequality in mental health. She also explores Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Davis maintains a clinical role in NHS services, providing therapy to adults with complex mental health needs and offering supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
She contributes to teaching through co-convening the 'Clinical Presentations in Adults' unit. Her work integrates clinical practice, research, and education, emphasizing clinical leadership and brief intervention strategies.
