Dr Lucy Hale is the Academic Director of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) programme at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London. Her academic affiliation includes the Department of Psychology within the School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences. She has prior experience on the University of Surrey clinical psychology training course and roles in the NHS. Her education includes a BA(Hons) in Combined Studies (Psychology and German) from Newcastle University, an MSc from the IoPPN, and clinical psychology training at the University of Surrey.
Research interests focus on appearance-related anxiety (including body dysmorphic disorder), eating distress (including clinical eating disorders), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and pedagogical research. Dr Hale contributes to teaching in therapeutic processes of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) within the DClinPsy programme.
