Inbar Levy is a Lecturer at the Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne. She holds a DPhil in Law from University College, Oxford, and has held visiting research positions at Columbia Law School and Harvard Law School. Her research focuses on the intersection of behavioral psychology and legal reasoning, particularly in civil procedure and international humanitarian law. Prior to academia, she served as a legal advisor in the Israeli Defense Forces' Military Advocate General unit.
Levy's academic qualifications include a Joint Law and Psychology LLB (Magna Cum Laude) and an LLM (similar honours) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has received prestigious scholarships such as the Modern Law Review Doctoral Scholarship and the Oxford Faculty of Law Scholarship.
Her teaching spans the Melbourne JD and Melbourne Law Masters programs, covering courses like 'Law and Human Nature,' 'Legal Method and Reasoning,' and 'Law and Psychology.'
