InWoo Park, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC), within the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences. His research focuses on HIV-1/HCV co-infection pathogenesis and HIV-1 protein regulation.

Research Interests:
- Molecular mechanisms of HIV-1-mediated liver disease acceleration in HCV co-infections
- Ubiquitin proteasome system regulation of HIV-1 protein degradation
- Role of HIV-1 Nef protein in viral pathogenicity and intercellular transfer
Funded Projects:
- Role of HIV-1 Nef in Acceleration of HCV-Mediated Liver Disease (NIDDK/NIAID grants)
- Engineering simian-compatible systems for HIV research (NIAID)
Publications: Over 50 peer-reviewed articles, including studies on HIV-1 Nef transfer to hepatocytes, HCV replication inhibition via ORP4, and HIV Tat-induced apoptosis in brain endothelial cells.
