Imogen Osborne is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Cornell University's Department of Literatures in English. A recent MFA graduate from Cornell, she holds a BA (Honors) in English Literature from the University of Cambridge. Her teaching focuses on creative and critical writing, including courses like 'FWS: Writing the Environment' and 'Creative Writing,' while also extending to incarcerated adults through community programs.
Her poetry has been published in Fourteen Poems, Berlin Lit, Anthropocene, and others. She was an editor of the EPOCH literary journal and has received prestigious awards including the 2024 Robert Chasen Memorial Prize and the James McConkey Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing Award. Her work explores themes of environment, identity, and narrative, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to literature.
Imogen’s professional contributions include mentoring emerging writers and advocating for access to arts education. She actively participates in the Cornell creative writing community, bridging academic rigor with innovative pedagogy.
