Kevin Attell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Literatures in English at Cornell University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on 20th- and 21st-century literature, literary theory, and the intersections of literature with philosophy. He authored the book *Giorgio Agamben: Beyond the Threshold of Deconstruction* (2015) and is currently working on *The Experience of the Novel*. His teaching includes courses on modern Irish writers, British literature, and the great American novel.
Research interests span American and British literature, literary theory, modern fiction, translation, and continental philosophy. His work bridges literary analysis with philosophical inquiry, particularly in exploring narrative forms and theoretical frameworks.
Attell has taught courses such as ENGL 1191 (FWS: British Literature), ENGL 3571 (The Modern Irish Writers), and graduate seminars like ENGL 7940 (Directed Study). He contributes to creative writing initiatives through EPOCH Magazine and mentors graduate students in the MFA and PhD programs.
