معرفی
Immacolata Abate is a Research Fellow at the Department of Pure And Applied Chemistry, University of Strathclyde. She was a Research Co-investigator on the EPSRC-funded project "Industrial Case Account - University of Strathclyde 2019" (2019–2023), contributing to the development of next-generation transcriptional activators for treating Friedreich’s Ataxia. Her work involves molecular biology and drug discovery, with a focus on genetic therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.
- Education/Thesis: Completed her PhD in 2023 with the thesis titled "Next-generation transcriptional activators for the treatment of Friedreich’s Ataxia", supervised by Prof. Glenn Burley and Dr. Nick Tomkinson.
- Data: Published a dataset linked to her thesis (DOI: 10.15129/ffb8bfb6-65cd-48f8-ba6c-c77f39df951c) detailing experimental results and methodologies.
Her research bridges chemical biology and medical applications, emphasizing translational medicine for rare neurological disorders.
