Immacolata Abate

Immacolata Abate is a Research Fellow at the Department of Pure And Applied Chemistry, University of Strathclyde. She was a Research Co-investigator on the EPSRC-funded project "Industrial Case Account - University of Strathclyde 2019" (2019–2023), contributing to the development of next-generation transcriptional activators for treating Friedreich’s Ataxia. Her work involves molecular biology and drug discovery, with a focus on genetic therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.
