Ilmari Puhakka is a Researcher in the Department of Education at Tampere University, affiliated with the Doctoral Programme in Education and Society. He holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Tampere University (2019). His research focuses on workplace learning dynamics, employee well-being in hybrid/remote environments, and educational strategies in STEM fields. Key themes include job satisfaction determinants, turnover intention predictors, and the psychological impacts of student-centered learning.
His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through studies on engineering education reform and corporate social responsibility integration into curricula. He has published 12 peer-reviewed articles and co-developed datasets on workplace learning opportunities (e.g., the CoOL@Work project). His research has been recognized with the 2023 Outstanding Paper Award for workplace learning studies.
