Illan Wall is an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the School of Law, University of Warwick. His work focuses on protest, public order, and critical legal theory, with a particular emphasis on the interplay between law, affect, and sovereignty. His recent book, *Law & Disorder: Sovereignty, Protest, Atmosphere* (Routledge), explores how social unrest challenges state structures and examines the role of moods, atmospheres, and public feelings in shaping legal and political dynamics.
His research interests include theories of constituent power, human rights in contexts of revolt, and legal frameworks in transitional justice, with case studies such as the Arab Spring and Colombia. He also analyzes new constitutional frameworks in the Andes and the intersection of law with film.
