Dr. Igor Stagljar is a Full Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Toronto. His research focuses on membrane protein interactions and systems biology approaches to disease mechanisms.

Research interests span protein interaction networks, membrane protein analysis, and high-throughput proteomics. He developed technologies like MYTH, MaMTH, and SIMPL for studying integral membrane proteins. Recent work explores AI-driven drug discovery and ferroptosis pathways.
Scientific accolades include membership in the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He serves on editorial boards of journals such as Journal of Molecular Biology and Molecular Systems Biology. As co-founder of Dualsystems Biotech and Perturba Therapeutics, he bridges academia and biotech innovation.
