Ignace Ng is a Professor at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria, where he has been since 1991. He holds a PhD in Labour Economics from Simon Fraser University. As a key figure in the school’s internationalization efforts, he championed the Master of Global Business (MGB) program and served as its director. His expertise lies in managing across cultures, networking dynamics, and human resource management practices in Asian workplaces. Prior to UVic, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and directed MBA programs from 1996–1998.
Dr. Ng’s research focuses on how networks influence managerial effectiveness, particularly in Asian contexts, and the efficacy of training programs. His work appears in journals like the International Journal of Human Resource Management and the Asia Pacific Journal of Management. He teaches courses such as Global Leadership & Cultural Intelligence (MGB) and Strategic Negotiations (MBA).
