David Ng is a Professor of Finance at Cornell University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University (2000). His research focuses on empirical asset pricing, fund flows, and the impact of institutional dynamics on financial markets. Previously, he served as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Wharton School (2008–2010) and a Research Fellow at Wharton’s Financial Institutions Center. Ng has held visiting roles at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and the World Bank.
His work bridges finance, organizational behavior, and institutional theory, with contributions to journals like the Journal of Financial Economics and Review of Financial Studies.
