Iccha Basnyat is an Associate Professor of Global Health Communication at George Mason University with a joint appointment in the Department of Communication. She holds a PhD from Purdue University and has taught at institutions including the National University of Singapore and James Madison University. Her research focuses on intersections of culture, gender, and health in South and Southeast Asia, emphasizing structural violence, health communication, and marginalized communities.
