Ian Moore

Ian Moore is a Professor at Queen's University and Research Director of the GeoEngineering Centre, a collaboration between Queen's University and the Royal Military College of Canada. His expertise lies in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics.

• Research emphasizes non-linear soil-structure interaction, shell structures, and buried pipe systems
• Specializes in computational and experimental analysis of infrastructure stability

Current work develops design methodologies for thermoplastic, metal, and concrete culverts while investigating corrosion effects on metal piping systems. His research extends to pipeline rehabilitation techniques, soil-pipe interactions during trenchless installation, and joint behavior under ground movements.
