Ian Gowan

Dr. Ian Gowan serves as the Associate Director and Croft Instructional Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Mississippi. He holds a B.A. in Spanish from Gettysburg College (2004), an M.A. in Hispanic Literature from the University of Kansas (2008), and a Ph.D. in Contemporary Latin American Literature (2013). His research focuses on contemporary Southern Cone film and theater, performance studies, and second language acquisition pedagogy, with expertise in ACTFL standards implementation.
