Jason Bartles is a Professor of Spanish and MALC Graduate Coordinator at West Chester University's Department of Languages and Cultures. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a B.A. from Gettysburg College. His research spans Latin American literature/film, global science fiction, queer studies, and utopian thought. Notable works include *ARTELETRA* (Purdue UP, 2021), which examines 1960s Latin American politics, and the novel *A Valley to Harness* (2024).
