Dr. Ian Fyfe is a Senior Lecturer at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh, and a member of the Institute for Education, Community & Society (IECS). His work bridges academia with community practice, focusing on youth development, political engagement, and social justice. He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne and has extensive experience in local government and third-sector organizations globally.

Research Interests: Dr. Fyfe’s research examines youth political literacy, community-based learning, and the impact of youth work on social inclusion. Recent projects include studies on pandemic effects on youth relationships, participatory research methods, and widening access to higher education. His work has informed UK youth policy and practice through collaborations with governments, NGOs, and universities.
