Ian Bailey is a Research Professor and Professorial Fellow at the Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne. He specializes in construction law, dispute resolution, and commercial arbitration. Previously a practising architect, he transitioned to law in 1983 and became Senior Counsel in 2004. He co-directed the Construction Law Masters Program (2000–2014) and teaches Advanced Construction Law and Commercial Arbitration in Practice.
