IVAN ANGELOV VINEV

Ivan Angelov Vinev serves as a Part-time Lecturer at the Technical University - Gabrovo in the Management Department, maintaining offices in cabinets 1228 and 5104. His professional activities span academic teaching, research supervision, and significant contributions to materials science, particularly in powder metallurgy and related fields.

Dr. Vinev's research interests center on powder metallurgy, materials science, and mechanical properties of iron and steel alloys. His work extensively explores sintering processes, surface hardening techniques, and chemical-thermal treatments of powder materials, with particular emphasis on iron-carbon-copper-phosphorus systems and their applications in construction materials. His research demonstrates both theoretical depth and practical applications in industrial contexts.

Analysis of his publication record shows a consistent focus on powder metallurgy with progression from fundamental material properties to applied economic analyses. His most recent work continues to explore boriding, nitriding, and other surface treatment techniques for iron-based alloys, while earlier publications examine economic aspects of powder production processes. Dr. Vinev has supervised numerous students, having reviewed eight theses across various aspects of powder metallurgy and materials science. His research leadership is evident through five completed internal research projects at Technical University - Gabrovo, focusing on developing new sintered structural steels and powder metallurgical materials.

His research projects include: Surface hardening of sintered structural steels of the Fe-C(Cu-P) system (2014); Intensification of the sintering process in the development and research of properties of sintered structural steels of the Fe-C system (2012-2013); Development of new sintered structural steels alloyed with copper and phosphorus (2009-2010); Development and research of properties of Fe-Mn-Mo-Cr-C sintered structural steels (2008); and Development and research of new powder metallurgical manganese structural steels (2006).
