Hurst Hall

Hurst Hall is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in general and interventional cardiology. He joined the faculty in 2017 and serves as a member of the Division of Cardiology. Dr. Hall chairs hospital committees focused on improving cardiovascular outcomes for patients with acute myocardial infarctions. He also serves as content editor for Circulation and leads the UT Southwestern site as principal investigator for the MARS Registry, a clinical trial examining antiplatelet management during surgeries.

Education: Medical Degree (MD) with clinical honors from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern where he served as Chief Fellow. He completed an interventional cardiology fellowship and is board-certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

Research interests center on optimizing cardiovascular care through clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives. Active in professional societies including the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. Has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and presented nationally on cardiology topics.

Advising & Grants: Site PI for the MARS Registry. Engaged in training future cardiologists through UT Southwestern's residency and fellowship programs. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on acute cardiac care protocols and device development projects.
