SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestryمعرفی
Huiting Mao is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Chemistry at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Her research focuses on regional tropospheric chemistry, climate-air quality connections, and mercury cycling.
- Key Collaborations: Nanjing University, NASA, NOAA, EPA, NSF, NYSERDA
- Education:
- PhD, Atmospheric Sciences, SUNY Albany
- MS, Atmospheric Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences
- BS, Atmospheric Sciences, Nanjing University
Research Interests: Intercontinental transport of pollutants, biosphere-atmosphere interactions, radiative transfer, and health impacts of PM2.5. Her group has conducted continuous measurements of ozone, mercury, and meteorology since 2013 and established an air quality observatory in Nanjing (2011).
Recent Trends: 2025 work on cloud chemistry and mercury partitioning builds on 2024-2023 studies of ozone impacts, microplastics in clouds, and mercury in ecosystems. Modeling (CMAQ-newHg-Br v2) and fieldwork (MOOSE, ICARTT) dominate her publications.
Grants: Funded by NOAA, EPA, NASA, NSF, and NYSERDA.
Labs: Maintains long-term monitoring at ESF campus (since 2013) and collaborates with Nanjing University in China.
