معرفی
Huafeng Wang is an Associate Research Scientist in Pharmacology at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on sperm biology and male fertility mechanisms, with particular emphasis on ion channel function (CatSper), redox regulation, and environmental toxin impacts. Collaborators include Dr. Jean-Ju Chung, Francesc Lopez-Giraldez, and Stephanie Halene.
- Primary appointment: Pharmacology Department
- Research interests include: Calcium signaling in sperm, male infertility etiology, contraceptive development
Key contributions include groundbreaking studies on CatSper channel structure/function, TXNRD3 redox regulation in epididymal maturation, and molecular mechanisms of environmental toxin-induced sperm dysfunction. Over 20 peer-reviewed publications since 2013, with recent work in Nature Communications, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Genome Research.
Publications highlight structural biology (cryo-ET studies), genetic approaches (DNAH2 mutations in infertility), and translational research on contraceptive targets. Active collaborations span pharmacology, reproductive biology, and environmental health domains.
