Dr. Hsiao-Ching YANG currently serves as Dean of the Office of Research and Development and Full Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. She holds a B.Sc. (1999) and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (2004) from National Sun Yat-Sen University. After postdoctoral research at National Taiwan University and Ohio State University, she joined Fu Jen Catholic University in 2006 as Assistant Professor, advancing to Associate Professor (2012–2019) and Full Professor (2019–present). She previously served as Director of the Center of Research Management (2018–2020).
Her research focuses on computational modeling of complex systems, including multiscale molecular dynamics simulations and interfacial interactions in proteins/polymers. Her group integrates computational methods with experimental techniques like fluorescence lifetime analysis and scattering experiments for structural dynamics studies.
Notable awards include the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (2016), Fu Jen’s Outstanding Research Award (2015), and the 62nd SPSJ Asia Excellence Award (2013). She has also been recognized as an International Young Polymer Scientist at the 42nd World Polymer Congress (2008).
Her academic leadership roles underscore her contributions to institutional research governance and interdisciplinary collaboration.
