Hossein Baharmand is an Associate Professor of Project and Supply Chain Management at the School of Business and Law, University of Agder (UiA). He serves as Programme Director for the Master's programme in Industrial Economics and Technology Management. His research focuses on technology and operations management in humanitarian contexts, with emphasis on disaster response, supply chain resilience, and blockchain applications.

Research Interests: Integrating technology into humanitarian logistics, circular economy principles in aid operations, equitable vaccine distribution systems, and ethical frameworks for digital cash-based assistance. His work bridges academic theory with practical solutions for NGOs and crisis management organizations.

- CONTRA (2020-2022): developed vaccine distribution systems during the pandemic
