Hossein Rikhtehgar Berenji

Hossein Rikhtehgar Berenji serves as an Associate Professor of Operations Management in the Department of Business Administration at Pacific University's College of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations & Business Analytics and Master of Science in Decision Sciences from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon, along with an MBA from Sharif University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.

His research spans supply chain management and data analytics with applications in sustainability, humanitarian operations, crisis management, and healthcare operations. Berenji's work has appeared in premier journals including Production and Operations Management, with notable research on vaccine development during pandemics and social/environmental responsibility in supply chains. His publications demonstrate a consistent focus on problem-driven analytical research addressing real-world challenges in operations management, particularly during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to academia, he worked as a senior management consultant leading projects in supply chain redesign, procurement planning, and international negotiations across diverse industries including automotive, energy, healthcare, and entertainment.
