Holly Stephenson is a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Plymouth's Peninsula Medical School, part of the Faculty of Health. She joined in May 2022 after completing a PhD at University College London (Institute of Child Health) and postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin.

Research Interests: Focuses on RNA regulation in macrophages and glial cells under oxidative and proteotoxic stress, exploring how these processes drive inflammation's dual role in acute immunity and chronic diseases like neurodegeneration and cancer. Utilizes Drosophila melanogaster models to study immune responses.
